The President of the United States categorically denied her accusation, stating, “Unequivocally, it never, never happened”

59-year-old Tara Reade accused Mr. Biden, the President of the United States, of assaulting her while she worked in his congressional office in 1993. However, she told a Russian state media outlet that she felt safe and wanted to stay.

Mr. Biden categorically denied her accusation, stating, “Unequivocally, it never, never happened”.

In the past, Ms. Reade had worked as an assistant for Mr. Biden when he was a senator from Delaware. In 2020, during the start of his presidential campaign, she made headlines by claiming that Mr. Biden had assaulted her in a Capitol Hill corridor when she was 29 years old.

She accused him of pushing her against a wall and putting his hands under her shirt and skirt.

"When I got off the plane in Moscow, for the first time in a long time, I felt safe, and I felt like I was being heard and respected," Ms. Reade mentioned during an interview with Sputnik.

Ms. Reade mentioned that she left the United States after a Republican politician warned her that she was in physical danger.

"I would like to apply for Russian citizenship to the President of the Russian Federation, Vladimir Putin... I promise to be a good citizen," Ms. Reade expressed, adding that she hoped to retain her US citizenship.

Between 2019 and 2020, several women accused Biden of inappropriate touching, hugging, and kissing. Although he claimed to have filed a complaint, there is no record of it, and it is unclear if her claim was formally investigated.

A spokesperson for Mr. Biden stated that he believed the women "had the right to be heard," but emphatically stated that the alleged incident “definitely did not happen”.
