A 17-year-old boy was seriously injured after jumping from the cliffs at Sunset Cliffs in San Diego, a location known for dangerous cliff jumps despite the activity being prohibited.

 

The incident occurred over the weekend and was captured on video by several bystanders. The footage shows the teenager sprinting toward the edge of the cliff as onlookers pull out their phones to record the jump.

 

Instead of landing safely in the water, the teen struck the rocks before falling into the ocean.
