Fall has officially arrived in San Diego. While temperatures are still on the warmer side, seasonal activities are already starting to pop up across the county.

From pumpkin patches and harvest festivals to corn mazes, hayrides, live music and family activities, here are some of the events getting underway in the coming days.

Bates Nut Farm – Valley Center

One of San Diego’s longtime fall traditions is already underway. Bates Nut Farm’s popular pumpkin patch will remain open through October 31, offering tractor rides, a straw maze, farm animals and plenty of pumpkins to choose from.

Admission is free on weekdays, although some activities require an additional fee.

Goff Family Pumpkin Patch – Liberty Station

The Goff Family Pumpkin Patch is back at Liberty Station with more than 10,000 pumpkins and will remain open through October 31.

Visitors can also find photo opportunities, games and other seasonal activities. Admission is free, while pumpkin prices vary depending on size and variety.

Beachside Fall Fest – Belmont Park

For those who want to enjoy some fall activities without giving up a day at the beach, Belmont Park is hosting its Beachside Fall Fest from September 24 through October 31.

The event features seasonal decorations, live music, park attractions and fall-themed activities.

Pumpkin and Marigold Harvest Festival

The Pumpkin and Marigold Harvest Festival at Mellano Farm Stand begins September 26, bringing together fall traditions and a Southern California harvest setting.

The festival will feature marigold fields, a corn maze, tractor rides, a pumpkin patch, live music, food and activities for children. It will run for six weekends, through November 1.

Julian Autumn Jubilee

Fall celebrations will also get underway near Julian on September 26, when Fort Cross kicks off its Julian Autumn Jubilee.

Activities include pumpkin picking, cider making, hayrides, farm animals, crafts, games and other family-friendly experiences.

The event will take place on weekends through October 25.

As fall gets underway, seasonal events are beginning to spread across San Diego County, giving families plenty of opportunities to enjoy pumpkin patches, harvest festivals and activities leading up to Halloween.
