CHP reported collisions on I-15 and SR-94, while San Diego police received reports of crashes in Midtown and Pacific Beach; officials have not confirmed whether the incidents were weather related.

Several traffic collisions were reported across San Diego on Saturday, according to records from the California Highway Patrol (CHP) and the San Diego Police Department.

One of the most recent incidents occurred at 3:14 p.m. on southbound Interstate 15 near Market Street, where authorities reported a collision with the severity of any injuries still unknown.

Minutes earlier, at 3:02 p.m., CHP reported another crash on westbound State Route 94 near the Kenwood Drive on-ramp. The dispatch record indicated that medical assistance was en route.

Another collision was reported at 2:49 p.m. on northbound I-15 in the Rancho Bernardo area. The severity of any potential injuries was not specified.

Meanwhile, San Diego Police Department dispatch records included reports of crashes with limited details in Midtown, at the intersection of India Street and Sassafras Street, during the morning, and in Pacific Beach, near La Jolla Mesa Drive and Van Nuys Street, in the afternoon.

The reports document incidents recorded throughout the day, but authorities have not confirmed whether the crashes were related to weather conditions.

With rain in the forecast associated with Tropical Storm Rachel, motorists are advised to reduce their speed, increase following distances and avoid driving through flooded streets.

Traffic conditions and incident statuses may change throughout the day. Drivers can check CHP traffic reports and Caltrans updates before heading out on the road.
