At the Belgian GP, Sergio led the race for a span of 17 laps, but on lap 18 his teammate ran past him to claim his eighth consecutive first place and 13th in a row as teams alongside Checo, a record that continues to grow and will probably last a long time.

It was the 45th victory in the career of the Dutch driver, who in addition to leaving Pérez behind, surpassed Charles Leclerc who finished third, Hamilton in 4th and Fernando Alonso in fifth place.

Now Formula 1 will have a short break to return to action on August 27 when the race takes place at the Zandvoort Circuit at the Dutch Grand Prix, the home of Max Verstappen.
