Two months after the murder of Gail Castro, brother of content creator Markitos Toys, Ana Gastélum — Gail’s sister-in-law — has made her first public appearance via social media. The young influencer opened up to her followers about the emotional toll the tragedy took on her and the intense media pressure that surrounded her family.

“I went into a really dark panic,” Ana confessed in a video. “I missed creating content so much, but I didn’t know how to come back. That’s why I deleted everything  I felt like I didn’t want anything to do with social media anymore.”

Gastélum explained that her absence wasn’t part of any strategy or attention-seeking move, but rather the result of a deeply personal struggle. “I saw comments saying I just wanted attention, and I thought, ‘Girl, I have real problems.’ I felt so confused, frustrated, and overwhelmed.”

The content creator also used the opportunity to thank her followers for their support during her most difficult moments. “Thank you for your love  I truly missed you,” she wrote on her TikTok account.

Gail Castro was fatally shot at a restaurant in Baja California this past March, a crime that continues to shock his loved ones and followers. Since the incident, the family has maintained a low profile.
