A man, reportedly homeless, died after being hit by a car at the "5 y 10" intersection shortly after midnight.

 

 

According to initial reports, the man crossed the road in an area not designated for pedestrian traffic and was struck by a gray BMW driven by a 21-year-old, who was subsequently detained.

The accident took place at the corner of Díaz Ordaz and Lázaro Cárdenas boulevards, in front of the San Jorge shopping center.

 

The deceased has not been identified, but he was of slim build and light brown skin. He was wearing a red hoodie and black sweatpants, and he was barefoot.

 

 

 

Despite receiving assistance from Red Cross paramedics, he succumbed to the impact.
