Four individuals were injured following an armed attack in the Los Arenales neighborhood, adjacent to the free Tijuana-Ensenada highway. However, when authorities arrived at the scene, the victims were no longer present.

The incident was reported to 9-1-1 on Sunday afternoon, with callers alerting authorities to multiple gunshots in the area.

Witnesses stated that the attackers fled in three SUVs heading in an unknown direction. The injured were reportedly transported to hospitals in private vehicles.

Personnel from the State Civil Security Force (FESC), Red Cross, and the State Investigation Agency (AEI) responded to the scene, where they found an abandoned gray Jeep Rubicon and a Toyota Tacoma pickup truck, both with visible bloodstains.

Spent shell casings from both long and short firearms were also found at the scene. No arrests have been reported.

The State Attorney General’s Office has launched an investigation to identify and locate those responsible.

So far, neither of the vehicles has been reported stolen, and the condition of the injured individuals remains unknown. Blood traces and ballistic evidence were found inside the gray Jeep Rubicon and near the Toyota Tacoma.
