Earlier this year, it was revealed that, similar to the eighth generation, Pokémon Scarlet and Purple would receive an expansion pass divided into two parts: The Turquoise Mask and The Indigo Disc. Each expansion centers around a different Legendary Pokémon and introduces familiar creatures like Poochyena.

Although the original release window for these games was set for fall 2023 for The Turquoise Mask and winter 2023 for The Indigo Disc, specific launch dates were pending. However, new details have emerged regarding these expansions.

The Turquoise Mask will be set in the Noroteo region, introducing new Pokémon such as Dipplin, the evolved form of Applin, and new characters. Notably, a feature akin to Pokémon Snap will allow players to take photos of the Pokémon. This DLC is set to launch on September 13 for Nintendo Switch.

On the other hand, The Indigo Disc will transport players to the Blueberry Academy, featuring various biomes and its own Blueberry League, where challenging trainers await. The expansion will introduce Archaludon, the evolution of Duraludon, as a new addition to the Pokémon roster. Its release is confirmed for winter 2023, as announced in February.

The recent event also included the announcement of Detective Pikachu: The Return and updates, such as the addition of Mencía to Pokémon Masters EX.
