Here, we will provide you with the requirements for the assistance

California continues to distribute stimulus checks as part of a program designed to assist households affected by inflation in the United States. While many have already received their payments since October 2022, there are still people waiting.

Here's what you need to know to obtain your California Inflation Incentive Check.

To date, approximately 7.2 million direct deposits and 9.6 million preloaded debit cards have been sent out as part of this stimulus program in California. However, some recipients are still awaiting their funds.

How to check if your incentive has not yet arrived:

To receive a California Inflation Incentive Check, taxpayers must meet certain requirements:

  • They must have filed a joint income tax return of up to $500,000 in 2020 or declared individual income of up to $250,000.
  • They must have lived in California for at least six months in 2020 and still reside in the state at the time the payment was issued.
  • Their tax return for the year 2020 must have been due before October 15, 2021.
  • They must be eligible based on California's adjusted gross income levels.

If you meet these requirements and have not yet received your Inflation Incentive Check, you should take steps to receive the corresponding benefits.

How much can you receive in your California Inflation Incentive Check?

The amount of the stimulus check in California is based on your adjusted gross income and whether you have dependents. The amounts vary depending on your situation:

  • For requests of $150,000 or less: You can receive between $700 and $1,050 (including dependents).
  • For requests of $1,150,001 to $1,250,000: You can receive between $500 and $750 (including dependents).
  • For requests of $1,250,001 to $1,500,000: You can receive between $400 and $650 (including dependents).

How to receive your California Inflation Incentive Check?

If you haven't received your California Inflation Incentive Check yet, there are two ways to obtain it:

  • Direct deposit: The payment will be made to your bank account.
  • Payment card: It will be sent by mail, so you should keep an eye on your mailbox.
  •

The California Franchise Tax Board (FTB) announced that pending payments will be issued between late September and the first week of October 2023.
