"Elements of the Army and the National Guard carried out an operation this morning in Nuevo Laredo, Tamaulipas, which culminated in the arrest of César Alejandro "N," also known as "Tartas." This 34-year-old individual held the position of plaza boss for the Northeast Cartel in the region.

During the operation, they seized a long and a short weapon, multiple magazines, and cartridges for high-powered weapons, as well as more than 2,500 fentanyl pills.

The deployment of federal forces was executed effectively on Wednesday, November 29, and was highlighted by the coordinated collaboration between the Army and the National Guard.

César Alejandro "N" assumed the role of plaza boss in Nuevo Laredo just last year, following the arrest of Heriberto Rodríguez Hernandez, alias "El Negrolo," captured on November 28, 2022, by Army elements. "Tartas" led various illicit activities, including drug and weapons trafficking to the United States, control of migrant flow, as well as the elimination of members of rival groups attempting to enter Nuevo Laredo.

Due to the dangerousness and significance of "Tartas" in the structure of the Northeast Cartel, authorities immediately placed him at the disposal of the relevant institutions. A security device was implemented by Federal Forces to prevent possible escape attempts."
