Chula Vista Police have released a new video related to a home invasion that occurred in November 2023. The incident took place on Pershing Road, near Otay Ranch, on Sunday, November 19, 2023, around 2 a.m.

In the video, four individuals can be seen exiting what appears to be a gray or silver sedan. They are dressed in dark clothing and wearing masks. The suspects attempted to enter the house by firing at the door. Fortunately, the resident, a father, successfully defended his family, and no one was injured in the shooting.

The criminals gained access to the residence through a broken garage door and then broke down the main door. At that moment, the father reacted swiftly, pushing them back.

In his own words: "I just hear really loud banging on the garage door. The door gets broken down, and I see someone stumble into the house. As soon as I see that, I just grab him, throw him back outside into the garage and slam the door in his face. They shoot at the door, and it goes through the door into the staircase, and they just leave."

Due to the assailants wearing masks and hoodies, the father was unable to identify their faces. Subsequently, they fled in a car, and the police have been searching for them since.
