La Paz will remain the hottest point in the state

In the coming days, Baja California Sur will face a heatwave that will raise temperatures up to 40 degrees C or 112 F several regions, mainly in La Paz, Comondú, and El Vizcaíno. Although nights will still be relatively cool in most parts of the state, intense daytime heat is inevitable.

According to the National Meteorological Service, Sunday, April 21 marked the end of the first heatwave of the season in the region, but Baja California Sur expects the onset of temperatures above 35 degrees Celsius.

La Paz will continue to be the hottest point in the state, with areas possibly reaching 40 degrees, followed by some areas in Comondú and El Vizcaíno.

In other parts of the state, such as Los Cabos, Loreto, and Santa Rosalía, temperatures ranging between 30 and 35 degrees Celsius are expected, while in the North Pacific, Guerrero Negro, Todos Santos, and San Juanico, highs will range between 22 and 28 degrees Celsius.

In addition to scorching heat, sporadic gusts of wind reaching up to 80 kilometers per hour are forecasted, which will require additional precautions, especially for smaller vessels. Residents and visitors are urged to take appropriate safety measures to protect themselves from the extreme heat and adverse weather conditions in the coming days.
