She mentioned that she did not activate the panic button she has due to her altruistic work, as she had used it recently and no one responded.

On Thursday night, Susana Bárrales Honorato, head of the Casita de Unión Trans (UT), reported an attempted arson outside her home in the Morelos neighborhood through her social media channels.

Bárrales Honorato shared with BajaNews that shortly after arriving home, she began to smell something burning within 5 to 10 minutes and noticed flames through her windows. She mentioned that she did not activate the panic button installed due to her altruistic work, as she had recently used it and no one responded.

"When I arrived, I didn't know what to think, but within 5 to 10 minutes, I saw the fire through the window. I had time to move the smoke that was coming in and managed to put out the fire, but now I will file a complaint to investigate who did this," she explained.

In response to the situation, Susana Bárrales plans to file a formal complaint to determine whether the incident was a direct threat against her or a random act by passersby in the neighborhood. However, she expressed feeling vulnerable and has begun taking extra precautions after receiving intimidating messages.

"I've experienced several attacks—my car windows were smashed, I've received threats—but I don't want to believe this was a personal attack. Unfortunately, I've received messages from people, which I try to ignore, but I will start paying attention because it's a dangerous game, and I've received many threats, which is why I live with a panic button," she stated.

In a video shared on social media, the trans rights activist can be seen trying to extinguish the fire with buckets of water, which was burning a box near her front door.
