The San Diego, Chula Vista, El Cajón, and Carlsbad Police Departments have increased patrols and are collaborating with security agencies to create a safe environment for voters
Voter security has become the top priority for law enforcement in San Diego County, where local, state, and federal public safety agencies have intensified efforts to ensure a peaceful Election Day on Tuesday, November 5. The Sheriff's Office is actively monitoring information related to potential threats. While no credible threats have been identified, authorities are prepared to manage any incidents that may arise.
Sheriff Kelly A. Martinez emphasized that training has been conducted to respond to electoral events, and the office will be staffed at its Operations Center to ensure a swift response. The FBI has also stated that it has not received reports of security threats in the region, but remains ready to act if any issues arise.
