A group of migrants allegedly seized the opportunity to cross the border into the United States from Playas de Tijuana while maintenance and improvement work was being carried out on the border wall.

 

The incident was captured in a video showing workers busy with construction work on the border wall, apparently building a temporary fence as part of the improvements. However, in an unexpected moment, the fence collapsed, leaving a stretch of several meters of the border wide open.

 

Taking advantage of the situation, several migrants at the scene did not hesitate to cross into US territory. The footage captured the moment when approximately 10 people allegedly entered the United States irregularly, although it is presumed that the number could be higher.

 

The workers conducting the construction did not intervene and watched with surprise as the migrants crossed.

 

Local authorities reported that there had been a significant increase in irregular border crossings from the beaches of Tijuana into the United States during the previous weekend.

 

In a similar incident last week, lifeguard teams rescued two migrants who swam from Playas de Tijuana to the United States.
