Adame, who had worked at NASSCO for nearly 30 years, was informed of the incident by a coworker around 1 p.m., according to his daughter, Isabelle Adame, while they waited for answers outside the shipyard. This information was reported by a media outlet.

Adame was a father of four and a grandfather of six, according to his daughter. The family expressed frustration over the lack of information regarding the incident, noting that while they were told Cal/OSHA was on the scene, no further details were provided.

NASSCO issued a statement in response to the incident: "With great sadness, we can confirm that a fellow NASSCO employee passed away at the shipyard today.
