He was reportedly approached by a group of homeless people

A 52-year-old man was stabbed in the arm at the Iris Avenue Transit Center in Otay Mesa West, according to the San Diego Police Department (SDPD). The incident occurred around 2:46 a.m. on Thursday following a dispute.

The man, who was waiting at the bus and trolley platform, was approached by a group of people who appeared to be homeless. According to the SDPD, the group claimed that a bag in the man’s possession belonged to them, which led to a confrontation. During the altercation, one of the men in the group stabbed the man in the right forearm. Following the attack, the group fled the scene, as reported by Fox5News.

The victim was transported to a hospital for treatment, and his injury is not considered life-threatening. Authorities are continuing to investigate the incident and are working to identify the suspect, described as a man in his 50s or 60s, last seen wearing an unknown-colored jersey, pants, and a baseball cap. No further details are available at this time.
