Chávez Hhs a fight coming up against Misael “Chino” Rodríguez

In recent weeks, Omar “Bussiness” Chávez, the son of legendary boxer Julio César Chávez, has found himself at the center of attention due to the cancellation of his fight against Olympic boxer Misael “Chino” Rodríguez. However, the bout has been rescheduled for January 25, 2025, at Arena Potosí in Mexico.

Through his social media, Omar Chávez has shared his training regimen and preparations to ensure he enters the ring in peak condition for this crucial showdown. He aims to prove his readiness to compete at the highest level of boxing, with aspirations of eventually facing off against Saúl “Canelo” Álvarez.

The fight with “Canelo” has special significance for Omar, as it was his brother, Julio César Chávez Jr., who was defeated by Álvarez by unanimous decision on May 6, 2017. This loss is still fresh in Omar’s mind.

"I would like to face ‘Canelo’ one day, as he’s the boxer of the moment and is considered the best pound-for-pound fighter. Fighting him would give me the chance to avenge my brother’s loss, but first, I need to focus on my fight with Rodríguez," said Omar Chávez.

“I feel very motivated, my body is responding 100%. I want to beat ‘Chino’ and challenge anyone, whether it’s Canelo or Berlanga,” he added.
